SwiftCert is a record-keeping tool, not a certifying authority
SwiftCert helps you create, store, and share gas safety documentation. It does not verify that you hold a valid Gas Safe registration, does not check your work against UK gas safety regulations, and does not substitute for your own professional qualification, training, or judgment as an engineer.
Using the app does not make a certificate legally valid on its own — that depends on the work and the qualifications of the engineer who carried it out and signed it.
You are responsible for compliance
As the engineer using this app, you are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for ensuring your work and documentation comply with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 and all other applicable UK law and industry standards. SwiftCert is a tool to help you produce professional documentation faster — it does not review, audit, or guarantee the correctness of the certificates you generate.
No liability for missed renewals or incorrect certificates
While SwiftCert includes features intended to help track renewal dates and organize your records, we do not guarantee that reminders will always be delivered or that records will always be complete or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SwiftCert accepts no liability for missed certificate renewals, incorrect or incomplete certificates, or any regulatory non-compliance arising from use of the app. Always independently verify certificate content before issuing it to a customer.
Data loss
SwiftCert stores your data locally on your device — see our Privacy Policy. If your device is lost, damaged, or replaced without a backup having been taken, that data cannot be recovered by us, because we don't hold a copy of it. Take regular protected backups if this matters to your business.
